Vision
The vision of the Plant Protection Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University is: “Excellent in modern plant protection technology based on bio-resources and local wisdom”.
Mission
The missions of the Plant Protection Department, Faculty of Agriculture Sriwijaya University are:
- Conducting learning processes in the plant protection field of study emphasizing the implementation of modern sciences and technologies based on bio-resources and local wisdom by integrating ecological, economic, social, and cultural aspects.
- Supplementing graduates with appropriate soft skills for being supple, tough, active, creative, innovative, supportive, and competitive agriculturists
- Providing graduates with entrepreneurial passion, spirit, and competency
- Developing modern plant protection technologies based on bio-resources and local wisdom throughout research activities
- Implementing modern plant protection technology based on bio-resources and local wisdom through community services programs
- Conducting collaboration with local, national, and international partners in the development
and utilization of local bio-resources for plant protection.
The objectives of the Plant Protection Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University are:
- To produce qualified graduates in the field of Plant Protection capable of implementing knowledge and skills to meet public necessities, especially in the field of plant protection.
- To publish research articles on innovative plant protection based on bio-resources and local wisdom in national and international journals.
- To produce innovative technology developed from applied research results to be implemented in society through sustainable community services.
- To build collaborations with national and international academic and non-academic institutions.
